Kathy Smith, Esq.
Kathy is a senior litigation attorney at Nishad Khan, P.L. A native Floridian, Kathy pursued her education in California, obtaining her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, in 1989, and her law degree from the University of California, Davis, in 1992. As an experienced litigator, Kathy has represented clients in matters including consumer, commercial and business litigation, banking law, real estate transactions and litigation and homeowner association law. For the past nine years, Kathy worked at a local mid-sized law firm, representing lenders, business owners and others in complex commercial disputes. Kathy also has significant jury trial experience from experience from her years as a prosecutor in California.
Kathy is licensed to practice in the states of Florida and California, and is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Southern District of Florida. Kathy is active in the local legal community, serving as a mentor to other attorneys through the Orange County Bar Association’s mentor program, participating in the Central Florida Women Lawyers Association, and serving on her community Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors. When not practicing law, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, including her three children.
