Boyfriend and Girlfriend buying a house together?

Consider a Tenant-In-Common Agreement!

Because there is no common law property in Florida, a boyfriend and girlfriend buying a property will own as tenant in common.

As we all know, a lot of people get swept off their feet and then fall on their heads! Therefore, a boyfriend and girlfriend purchasing a home should consider a “Tenant-in-Common Agreement”.

This type of agreement is generally recorded and addresses the rights and responsibilities of each party (BF and GF) in the event they break up.  Our firm is happy to help should you have any questions!
